NACEA (North-America Chinese Professionals Entrepreneur Association) is pleased to announce that our Fifth Entrepreneur Seminar Series will be held as a joint effort with other 3 Chinese organizations in New Jersey, NJCCPS (New Jersey Chinese Computer Professional Society), SAPA (Sino-American Pharmaceutical Association) and NJCACC (New Jersey Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce). By doing so, we hope to bring more benefit and better services to our members, and to the local Chinese entrepreneurs or entrepreneur-to-be. Thanks to AvTech, who has made this happen. A successful example of Chinese entrepreneurs itself, AvTech is definitely an ideal venu for such an event.

As we all know, with almost no exception, all big-name successful companies, especially technology companies, are backed by venture capitals. For a start-up company who has great potentials, venture capital can provide not only capital, but strategic solutions which will facilitate its rapid growth and success. However, to many Chinese or other entrepreneurs of minority origin, venture capitals are something beyond their reach. They usually have little or no idea how to get funded by such resources, and are often pessimistic about their ability to court the attention of such channel.

Today, we are bringing them to you, so that you can have a face-to-face dialogue with two of our VC speakers, and see in your own eyes how remote or how close you are from them. In addition to listening to their real-world experiences and tips on bringing up a valid business idea, you'll also learn what errornious thinking many of us have toward a business success, what traps many of us with a technical background usually fall into, and better understand the qualifications many VCs are looking at. More, in the case study section, you'll have the chance to hear the live evaluation from 3 VCs of the projects submitted by our members.

Who should Attend:

  • Entrepreneurs who are looking for funding
  • Professionals of technical background who wish to start business on their own or have great ideas that he/she thinks will be a success, especially in pharmaceutical and IT fields
  • Entrepreneur-to-be, especially of minority origin
