2014 business seminar: Small Business Development and Sino-US
Investment Scenario
NACEA is pleased to announce its above business event to be held at New
Jersey Technology Center, a NJ government-funded biotech incubator on June 14, 2014. If you are a small
business owner or is planning to start a business, you should not
miss this event.

We have invited SBDC regional director, Lorraine Allen as one of the guest speakers. Her topic will be
“Business Resources - Best Kept Secrets” which will cover doing business with federal government as small business owners, and
research tools, etc.
As the event sponsor, Mr. Michael Moskowitz, Vice President for the Central and Southern New Jersey region of Wells Fargo
will share with us how “Section 79 Plan” using life insurance can benefit you and protect your retirement as a small business owner.
Another speaker Yi Li, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Founder and CEO of Lab[x]Lab
will talk on an interesting alternative investment opportunity –“Crowdfunding”, a disruptive funding model for startups and small business.
The Last speaker, Dr. Liu Dong, a professor from Beijing will offer some of his insight on cross-boarder investment scenario:
Current investment opportunities and regulations in China for overseas investors, and how China's capital is currently investing in the various industries
in the US, based on his recent research paper "China ODI(oversea direct investment) in the
USA". (Note: his talk will be delivered in Chinese)

Lorraine
Allen, Regional Director at Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
Serving Mercer and Middlesex counties, her Center counsels over 500 clients a year and trains over 2254 business representatives annually with
business and market planning, procurement, financing preparation, start up and most every small business concern. A professional coach,
speaker and experienced group leader has been responsible for the counseling of over 8100 business owners and representatives through
one-to-one strategic management and operational counsel from entrepreneurs to corporate clientele. In addition, she has directed
training for over 17000 in business skills development to help them grow their teams and their companies and their personal success. She
served 4.5 years New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission as Procurement Specialist dedicated service for both public and
private buyer and business vendor to advocate and increase contract relationships. Specializing in marketing, sales and government
procurement she has also forged special projects including originating Trenton Small Business Week, The Academic Administrators
Institute, the Quickbooks Center for Business, Master CEO and Strategic Needs Assessment programs, as well as procurement training
for the state, etc. Recipient of many awards including the 2009 US Small Business Administration Innovation Center Award, featured as
2010 njbiz Mover and Shaker, 2 time New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners award winner and Metropolitan Trenton African
American Chamber of Commerce as well as Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year and Trenton Small
Business Advocate of the Year.

serves as Entrepreneurial Officer at Tsinghua Alumni Association GNY, and Vice President at Nankai Alumni Association GNY.
Yi received a B.S. in Automation from Tsinghua University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Chinese Academy of Sciences and an M.S. in
Operations Research from Columbia University.

刘东,中央党校教授,国际战略研究所世界经济室的副主任,兼任《证券市场周刊》副主编。现主要从事西方经济学、国际政治经济学、国际金融的教学工作。. 在中银国际有限责任公司期间,作为现场组成员参与了中国银行重组上市的全过程,作为主要执笔人起草了“中国银行股份有限公司重组上市方案”、“中国银行股份有限公司章程”(2003)、“中国银行股份有限公司治理机制建设方案”。担任董事会秘书后,他主持修订了公司章程,完善了董事会和公司各项规章制度,并推动解决了公司成立以来的“商誉”问题,以促成公司获得了“创新类券商”资质。
刘东先生著有《从生产劳动到虚拟资本》、《虚拟资本与投资银行》等著作,以及“国企‘走出去‘的现状、困难与建议“(2010年)、“关于组建中国小额信贷银行的建议”。
