NACEA is pleased to announce a Round-Table Workshop on Funding for Start-ups and Small Business by Government-related Sources SBIR/STIR and EDA to be held at NJIT (Newark) on Saturday, June 11, 2011. We are very fortunate to have SBIR/STIR and EDA officers to join us and to bring us the latest special funding opportunities for Small Business including new technology and new energy area.

Our guest speakers will be Paula Durand from NJEDA and Roger S. Cohen, President of Cohen International. Mr. Cohen will be teaching an overview of the SBIR program, and about how to write a winning SBIR proposal. Mr. Cohen can be reached at http://www.rogercohen.com/sbir

In addition, entrepreneurs who successfully raised funds will discuss their experiences and strategies.

Topics will include:

  • The successful experience of getting funding from government related sources SBIR/STIR and EDA.
  • How to find government funding for the project
  • How to write your business funding application to fit SBIR/STIR and EDA funding standards

After their presentations, you will have the chance to exchange and discuss your own projects and ideas with SBIR/STIR and EDA officers and other people, and also have opportunities to network with others in the same field.
