From the recent NACEA meetings, we have seen a lot of people are interested in entrepreneurship either in China or in the US. We used to hear stories from successful business people, we should also hear our peer members' stories who are still "struggling towards the success" . Therefore, NACEA is planning a Salon in July 26, 1:30pm to feature the stories/plans/ideas of our peer friends who have had several years of entrepreneurship or trials in China. Please note that this is a very informal gathering, and it is just for us to exchange ideas and thoughts, big or small, and share experience and frustrations, tips and lessons, frankly and freely with each other, be you an entrepreneur or entrepreneur to-bes.
Therefore, anybody who wishes to tell his story or his experience, direct or indirect about doing business in China or in the USA, please feel free to join us and share them. It is not that we discourage you to follow your entrepreneur dream, but wish to get you more prepared for better and for worse, and also we can explore some more feasible, or perhaps easier way to follow it. In the last meeting, we had a heated discussion on the proposal of setting up a Consulting Team targeting at the local industrial needs from China (which becomes more of a real demand as China is geared for improving technology levels, especially of mfgs). We wish more thoughts can be shared on this type of entrepreneurship. If you have a specific topic to share, please let us know ahead of the gathering so that we can make the arrangements properly. Otherwise, everyone is welcome to just speak up at gathering whatever you think proper.
Current speakers/topics include:
"A few entrepreneur books you should read before you quit", by Zhinong Gao (co-founded a chemical company in China for several years)
"The current reality in China -What did some of the 海归 say about their experiences in 武汉留学生创业园" by Tony Hu
"Explore entrepreneur opportunities in the US", by May Li
